What is Wellmune®?

Wellmune is a yeast beta 1,3/1,6 glucan. It has been extracted from the cell of a proprietary strain of bakers yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae).

The ability of the immune system to quickly recognise and respond to an invading pathogen is vital to controlling and overcoming infection. Research suggests that beta-glucans are able to increase the body’s host immune defence by activating our immune system without over stimulating it. This helps “prime” our immune system to respond quickly and efficiently to a pathogen.
