Probio7 Bifikalm is a dietary supplement especially formulated for infants, which helps enhance and maintain a healthy balance in your baby’s gut flora. The active ingredients in Probio7 Bifikalm are 1 billion of the live bacteria strains Pediococcus pentosaceus CECT 8330 and Bifidobacterium longum CECT 7894. These are clinically proven to be safe and are naturally present in the human intestine*.
Probio7 Bifikalm is particularly formulated to support digestive and immune health in infants. The formula is administered in sufficient quantities to have a beneficial effect on an infant’s health by improving the microbial balance in the intestine. Studies have shown that the hours of crying may be greatly reduced* when a baby’s milk (formula or breast milk) is enriched with Probio7 Bifikalm.
Normally, the effects should be noticed within a few days. While infants who are healthy may not experience any differences, those taking Probio7 Bifikalm because of a digestive system disturbance may notice an improvement in symptoms after 3-4 days. In some cases, it may take longer if the baby is, for example, taking a medication affecting the digestive system.
No, the formula is considered to be food and is comparable to yoghurt when it comes to safety. On the contrary, Probio7 products are very useful in combination with, for example antibiotics, as it helps reduce side-effects of the antibiotic.
The only ingredients in Probio7 Bifikalm are the live bacteria strains Pediococcus pentosaceus CECT 8330 and Bifidobacterium longum CECT 7894, sunflower oil and vitamin E (which helps stabilise the formula). None of these ingredients has ever been shown to pose a risk to health.
These are living microorganisms (bacteria) that are administered in sufficient quantities to have a beneficial effect on a person’s health by improving the microbial balance in the intestine.
No, these are in a dormant state (freeze-dried) and become fully metabolically active when they come in contact with the saliva. How quickly? Very quickly, by the time it reaches the stomach, it can attach and start colony growth. It does not need to be kept in the fridge as a result.
Drops can be given by spoon, on the mother’s nipple or on a clean surface, such as a washed finger and allow the baby to suck.
Yes, live bacteria become fully metabolically active when they come in contact with the saliva so you can store the infant formula or breast milk in the fridge, as bacteria will stay alive.
Safety studies with Probio7 Bifikalm strains have been conducted in healthy newborns and it have been proven to be free from side effects.
Probio7 Bifikalm can safely be used two months after birth.
Prepare the formula as per manufacturer’s instructions. Add 5 drops of Probio7 Bifikalm to the warm (not hot) formula. Shake the formula occasionally, then feed the baby as normal, making sure the formula is at the correct temperature. Discard any unused formula.
Over time the bacteria will naturally settle at the bottom of the bottle. This is why it is so important to shake the bottle really well before using it in order to equally disperse the bacteria.
Each bottle contains a minimum of 1 billion of Bifikalm strains per dose (5 drops).
5 drops (0.25ml) once a day, preferably with the first feed and at the same time of the day. One bottle of Probio7 Bifikalm will last approximately one month but the product can be used as long as you want, as live bacteria are suitable and beneficial at any stage of life.
